BPOA Website Privacy Statement

BPOA takes the privacy of the BPOA web site users seriously and is committed to ensuring that each users privacy is protected.

The BPOA web site does not automatically capture or store personal information, except for logging the user's IP address and session information such as the duration of the visit and type of browser used. This is recognised by the web server and is only used for system administration and to provide statistics that BPOA uses to evaluate and improve the site. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual

We also use cookies, small pieces of information stored in the memory of the browser of any user of the site, which enable us to collect information about that user's use of it. These cookies contain data from which you cannot be identified personally but which the web server can interpret. BPOA uses cookies (a) to develop a profile about user preferences on the web site; (b) to develop and improve the web site and navigation through it; (c) to personalise users' experiences when using the web site (d) to compile statistics concerning use of the web site in general. BPOA will not collect any personally identifiable information about any user of the web site through their use of it unless they provide that information voluntarily through contacting BPOA at ornamentals@nfu.org.uk. BPOA will use any information provided to correspond with the relevant user about the matter in connection with which they provide it and will retain it and that correspondence for its records. BPOA will not disclose that information to any third party unless legally required to do so or where necessary to address the subject matter of that correspondence.

BPOA reserves the right to communicate by email with users of the BPOA web site on policy issues affecting growers of protected ornamental crops.

This privacy policy covers the BPOA web site. It does not cover external web sites to which there are links from the BPOA web site.
